  • GG Iron and Fallout Remover (10947) for wheels
  • GG Rubber Cleaner (11136) for tires and wheel wells

FOR BODY OF VEHICLE:

  • GG Foaming Surface Wash (B3203)
  • GG Foaming Poly Gloss (B3303)
  • GG Foaming Sprayer (51140) for use with hose OR GG Foam Cannon (BF302) for use with pressure washer
  • Buckets with grit guards
  • GG Microfiber Wash Mitt (10268)
  • GG Concentrated Car Wash (11102)
  • GG Microfiber Drying Towel (55590)
  • Modesta M2 Blast
  • Modesta M4 Smoke

Vehicle should be dry and cool to the touch (not just in the shade but cooled off from being driven or sitting in the sun).

Wash wheels, tires and wheel wells using proper tools and chemicals according to direction on the bottles.

Mix GG Foaming Surface Wash as directed on the label for the foam delivery system that you are using (GG Foaming Sprayer or GG Foam Cannon).

Cover vehicle in foam starting at the BOTTOM and working upwards, allow foam to dwell for five to ten minutes - DO NOT ALLOW FOAM TO DRY.

Using a strong stream of water either from the hose or the pressure washer, rinse from the bottom up and then the top down.

At this point, check to see if any dirt residue remains.

*** A NOTE ABOUT GG BOSS FOAMING SYSTEM *** IT IS DESIGNED TO MINIMIZE THE AMOUNT OF TOUCHING AND ABRASION TO THE PAINTED SURFACES OF YOUR VEHICLE - IT IS NOT MEANT TO BE A ‘NO TOUCH’ CAR WASH.

On a significantly dirty vehicle it will remove 80-90% of the dirt which minimizes the chance of dragging abrasives and scratching if you do need to follow with a quick bucket wash.

Once the surface is completely clean apply Modesta M4 Smoke as directed on the bottle using a clean wash mitt or microfiber towel. This product is a conditioner for your coating and is essential in prolonging the protective abilities of your coating.

Rinse thoroughly.

Apply GG Foaming Poly Gloss in the same manner as the GG Foaming Surface Wash following label directions, covering all surfaces including wheels and allow to dwell for 3-5 minutes - DO NOT ALLOW TO DRY. Rinse throughly again, bottom up then top down as before.

*** A NOTE ABOUT GG FOAMING POLY GLOSS *** Foaming Poly Gloss helps to add life to both waxes and coatings without any chance of residue build up. Including this product step in your detailing regimen for all of your vehicles will also add protection to all surfaces such as grills, wheels and plastic trim.

For a final rinse remove the nozzle from your hose and flood the vehicle with water from the top down allowing the water to sheet and pull itself off of the vehicle.

If you have a Master Blaster or electric leaf blower blow the vehicle off at this point to remove any water collected around the mirrors and in other nooks and crannies.

Gently wipe away and dry any remaining water by applying 2 sprays of Modesta M2 Blast to a clean soft microfiber towel for each section or panel of your vehicle, moving around the entire vehicle.

Finish up by cleaning the glass inside and out and adding your choice of tire dressing.

Modesta Coating Maintenance Wash - using the traditional Two Bucket Method

Tools needed:

  • Two buckets with grit guards
  • Griot’s Garage Concentrated Car Wash (11102)
  • Microfiber Wash Mitt (GG 10268)
  • Microfiber Drying Towel (GG 55590)
  • Third bucket dedicated to wheel cleaning, brushes, wheel woolly etc.
  • GG Iron and Fallout Remover (10947)
  • GG Rubber Cleaner (11136)
  • Modesta M4 Smoke
  • Modesta M2 Blast

Vehicle should be cool to the touch and inside or in a shaded area.

Follow instructions on the bottle labels to clean wheels, tires and wheel wells with equipment dedicated to that area of the vehicle.

After cleaning wheels, thoroughly rinse car with clear water and set up your two wash buckets - in one bucket mix the wash solution as directed on the label, fill the second bucket with clear water.

Start at the top of the vehicle - WASH ONE SECTION AT A TIME - rinse the section just washed with clear water immediately to keep the loosened dirt and soapy water from drying on that section creating water spots - then rinse your mitt in the bucket with clear water before dipping it back into the bucket with the soapy solution to keep the soap solution clean and move down to the next section.

Repeat these steps around the entire vehicle, washing and rinsing one section at a time.

When complete apply Modesta Smoke on each panel with a clean mitt - following directions on the bottle - until the entire painted surface has been conditioned with Smoke.

Thoroughly rinse vehicle from the top down. Remove nozzle from the hose and give it one more rinse flooding water from the top down to help pull any left over soap and water from cracks and crevices.
